So to show for it...I am up to 177.7lbs...yeah I started out with the Earth footwear challenge 3 weeks ago at 178 so in one week, I gained back just about everything I lost in two weeks! I knew it was coming too....I was so tempted to not even weigh in this week and skip posting, but that isnt going to get me anywhere. I am going to live up to my failure of a week...and show that just because you have a bad week doesnt mean you give up! This has pretty much been how most of my past year or so has been. I will have some really great weeks and months, and then have a bad week or two. I typically havent gained though, at least not more than a couple pounds...This was the most I have gained back in such a short time. It sucks! I will not have a repeat!!!!
I went to a wedding Saturday...and I dressed up. It felt good to look good and get compliments. But it felt like crap knowing that I was screwing it up this week! I want to keep feeling good...so I am going to use those thoughts as my motivators to get me past all the junk food that summer brings...all the bbq, the ice cream, and the snacks we grab while taking off somewhere!
So my goals this week.....get moving and put the fork down!!!
No junk food all week...and no seconds! Move in some way everyday! Check in with my mamavation sistas sometime everyday on twitter, give support and get support!
We all have those bad weeks but you are right, it's better to acknowledge it and move forward! I used to kick myself in the butt for failing but I learned that I'll just get back up and try, try again! You will be able to do it as you have the will and the motivation. :)
ReplyDelete((hugs)) I cant say that I have any fabulous words of wisdom to help you feel better about the past week but I can offer my ears (or rather eyes) if you need someone to talk to. I'm a good listener (and reader of emails) =D I hope you have a good week this week. You can do it mama!
ReplyDeleteBe wiser with the fork. If you need some sweet, make a small fruit+yogurt smoothie. If you need some savory & crunchy look at veggies with creative dips. Work on your strategies now and get under control what you can.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck this week! I understand the falling off the support wagon thing. There are some days that I look up and the day is almost gone and I have yet to check in about anything nor can I recall a healthy thing I ate!
ReplyDeleteLife comes so fast sometimes
Now is when you stop beating yourself up. Just move one. That's it. You beat yourself up all the time and you will become a victim of your own abuse. Just get up, brush yourself off and keep going. I can't tell you how many times I fell flat on my face. You just suck it up and get up. That's it. And I will always be here to cheer you on. XXOO
ReplyDeleteColleen, good for you for not giving up. I had a so-so week as well. Didn't gain or lose but have stuck with my 1 pound weightloss since the beginning of the Move it & Lose it challenge. Let's keep supporting one another. you're doing great.
ReplyDelete*hugs* I know it feels bad when you feel like you've failed but you know what you need to do. Just brush yourself off and get going...No one is going to make you feel bad, we're here to support you when you fall and cheer for you when you reach your goals.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week! I know it is hard to dust yourself off and keep going, but I think that is one of the most important steps to be successful at this and you are doing it!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you've admitted defeat, now, it's time to take it back and kick it in the rear!
ReplyDeleteI know you can do this!
Hug!
