Last week I just put away some pictures of Kennedy and Lauren where they looked so much alike, either making the same face or wearing the same outfit. Over the past few weeks I have been very concerned and stressed because it seems Lauren may be heading down the same path, medically, as Kennedy. I feel so bad that Kennedy has gone through so much, and now it is heart breaking to think another child may go through so many struggles as well.
Then last night I was reminded of the smiles that we have had over the years. Lauren was up on the couch laughing away. I peek over and the cat is on the back of the couch and Lauren is reaching up grabbing the cat, so that the cat swats her. We used to laugh so hard because Kennedy used to do this to our old cat too. She would just sit there and poke and grab the cat until it bit her, and then she would giggle and giggle.

Oh Colleen. I'm sure the memories are bittersweet in bringing back the times you have had with Kennedy and reliving them with Lauren. You are right to embrace the positive as you never know, it might be false signs. I will be praying for all of you especially Kennedy and Lauren.
